We love the Lake Geneva Library. The kids’ area is a total win — building blocks, a DUPLO table, and three touchscreen computers packed with age‑appropriate educational games. And the checkout options go way beyond books. You can borrow DVDs, video games, Playaways, audiobooks, early readers, picture books, children’s books in Spanish, and everything from young readers through early chapter books. They even loan out board games, yard games, STEM kits, and yes… cake pans. One of the best perks? Experience passes. You can snag passes for the Mitchell Park Domes and other reciprocal horticultural society locations, Wisconsin State Parks, Old World Wisconsin, Betty Brinn Children’s Museum, Brookfield Zoo, and Milwaukee County Zoo. (More on this in our Deals section.) Their Library of Things is next‑level — metal detectors, sewing machines, movie projectors, and tons more you’d never expect from a library. Storytimes are a weekly staple (more details above): The Lake Geneva Library is so much more than a place to borrow books. It’s a hub for learning, exploring, playing, and discovering new experiences. We’re incredibly lucky to have such a vibrant community resource. |
